On freelancing: Introducing a new free mini-series
Five short articles which will cover a range of topics on freelancing.
Hello everyone, happy new year! Hope you all had a good break?
Before the winter break, I mentioned that I had something exciting planned for this newsletter. Over the past month, I’ve been having a think as to where I can take the newsletter next and what would be most helpful for you all.
And so, to begin(ish!) the year, I’ve put together a mini-series - five short articles which cover a range of topics on freelancing from a creative perspective, as well as some specific focus on freelance photography.
The series includes advice, real-life examples and anecdotes as well as actionable suggestions. Some will also include homework - exercises you can do on your own or share here with us on the blog.
The series line-up is as follows:
On Freelancing
February 04
1/ Surviving your first year of freelance
February 11
2/ Sustainable ways to manage your social media
February 18
3/ How to write about yourself and your work
February 25
4/ Finding work, jobs and clients
March 04
5/ Selling your photography and other products online
How to sign up
If you’re already a subscriber to this newsletter, you don’t need to do anything. If you’re not, all you need to do is sign up!
The mini-series will be published over the next five weeks, released on Thursday afternoons as usual.
This is a bit of an experiment; a mini-series within the newsletter itself. Comments and constructive crit will be most welcome.
Once the series is finished I’ll return to longer-form more holistic, less technical posts, with a view, depending on how it goes, to doing this again in future or even designing some kind of standalone newsletter series.
Watch this space for the first part of the series releasing next Thursday at 12pm!
